Would you like to run your own book club? The library has a number of Book Club Kits available. A Book Club Kit contains 10 copies of a book, with a set of discussion questions to help your group get the conversation started. You can hold your book group anywhere you like, and we will loan the kit to you for six weeks. There is no charge for the loan of these kits. |

BOOK CLUB KITS - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can borrow Book Club Kits?
Book clubs who are registered with us can borrow Book Club Kits. Any member of Camden Council Library Service can register a club. As long as you have at least one library member in your group, your group can register and borrow our kits. In total, up to four members of your group can nominate on our registration form to borrow kits on behalf of your group, but they must be members of the library.
To borrow a kit, a registered member of your book club must provide their personal Library borrower card as proof of ID.

How long is my book club registered for?
Two years, with the option to renew registration after this period.
What’s in a Book Club Kit?
Each kit contains 10 copies of the book, plus discussion questions to get you started, and a spare book club registration form. Some kits come with a DVD of the film adaptation.
How long is the Book Club Kit loan period?
The kits can be borrowed for six weeks. There are no renewals.
Can a group borrow more than one Book Club Kit at a time?
Yes. A maximum of two kits can be on loan to a group.
Can a group reserve items?
No. To allow all book clubs the opportunity to read across the Book Club Kit collection, it is not possible to allow reservations. You can, however, borrow two kits at a time. This allows groups to hand out the next book club book when meeting to discuss their current book.
Where can I borrow the kits?
Book Club Kits can be borrowed during opening hours from Narellan Library only. They are not available to borrow from Camden or Oran Park Library.
How do I return the kits?
Each Book Club Kit and all of its contents must be returned together as a complete set. They can be returned to Camden, Narellan or Oran Park Library during opening hours only.
What about lost or damaged items?
Lost or damaged items must be replaced. Damage includes anything beyond normal wear from reading. Damaged or lost items will incur a fee equal to the cost of the item. We appreciate it if you resolve these matters as soon as possible so that the kit can be ready for another group.
